The Abiding Rule

Abiding Rule

I cleave
You receive the cleavage
I am drawn into

A petal forever forgotten
As we the immortal pose
A man and woman
Our delight

I recognise
my only hope
Is your perfect perfect breath
I know the Lord is watching
along with the anarchy of
songbirds outside

I am tender
The drool of love is the
richness of bread broken

Maybe when we are older
we will recite a poem
once remembered

As it stands all things between us
are driven from the froth of the mouth
Like anti-bodies with a disease
Or a bridge where couples hold hands

The abiding rule is love

Reading Our Thoughts

And there were ten of us
All friends
All looming great into
the future
Not one of us made it
At the bottom of the sea
Or plagued by heaven's mist
We played games abot the past
To tell a story of hope
We were children on a jetty. Unafraid

I do not mind being old and
passed my best dreams
I have other plans

There are five of us
The famous five
I am riveted by the solace of a book
She may of wrote it
But I endow beyond her words
Having experience and living characters

There are none of us to return to friendship
The root of my existence love
It is still pressing
When I die I will die of love
There are millioms of us

Quietly reading our thoughts

A Mother's Death

A Mother's Death

Now you are gone
I recede into the semi-darkness
of prayer
My heart filled with obtrusive
pains
Claims you were my Mother
I loved you as leaving was dearly
spent
Be one another
Mother and Son
Now you are gone
There will be no words
Unless you remember in death

As I appoint this eulogy of a life
